It runs for a few seconds and shuts down. It has a red and blue plastic adjustment screw. It is about 10 years old and has new plug and air filter.
There should be low and high speed adjusting screws and also an idle screw that adjusts how far the throttle is closed. Will it continue to run with your finger on the throttle? If it does it may just need the idle set up a bit. If not it is probably

Poulan P3416 16-Inch 34cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Chain Saw
This is a Poulan. Has a powerful yet compact 34cc engine that did not complain too starts for the first time in 28 degrees (F) weather. The instructions to start the chain saw is in the pictures to handle. Instructions for use were a bit ‘more technical, but cold starts are a breeze. You pull the handle five times, then the small pump primer bulb 6 times and pull until it starts.
E ‘was an anti-vibration handle for what really makes for convenient operation of the saw. E ’small, but you can feel his 11th 8 pounds of mass after welding for a couple of hours. Vibration is very low. The “sweet spot” for the chain of cut is precisely where you expect. E ‘noisy, so wear ear plugs. The operation of this is cleaner than I expected. It is addressed so that the dust away from me, but some dust accumulate in the area where he works OILER Automatic chain – is not too much, but it was obvious. Surely you want to wear eye protection when using this or that. Instruction manual spends a lot of time discussing setbacks. If you are careful and pay attention to your technique, you can reduce bribery and other problems. There is an inertia chain brake, also the event itself.
This is so small and inexpensive. It also has a lot of power. It fits well with the type of work I need to do so. I opened the large Bradford Pear in my yard, which was crushed by an ice storm in just an hour and a half.
Highly recommend for jobs and casual work. My came with a year warranty too. The Poulan Chainsaw is Made in USA.

This is the first chain and only saw I have ever owned. I bought it in 1999, I believe that from Home Depot, when they still sold Poulan in San Diego. I used to clean an easement, which was largely covered with trees windy and a lot of trees to trim branches and clearing felled.
I drove with 2 blades, so it was not widely used, but for the average home, I can not imagine you need something more than that. For the money, is a bargain. Definitely drain it for storage, as others have mentioned. I am currently in pursuit of the fuel line replacement, which collapsed after a couple of years of improper storage. I had my dissasemble and clean the carb and the rest of the ward, but still works (yes, it did last summer, so I’m sure it will still run with the new line installation). Highly recommended.
